Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas Village
The world's most famous Christmas shop — open year-round in Rothenburg. Even in summer it creates an extraordinary atmosphere. wohlfahrt.com

Nördlingen in the Meteor Crater
Nördlingen sits inside a 15-million-year-old meteor crater (14.5 km wide). The circular town walls follow the crater edge exactly. Climb the Daniel Tower for the full crater view.

Augsburg Cathedral
The Dom has the world's oldest figurative stained glass windows (11th century) — astonishing considering their age.
